Layover in Zurich was only about an hour but it was great to see German again (same with hearing and seeing it on the flight). The flight to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania was about 10 hours with a short stop in Nairobi, Kenya to let pasengers off and to refuel. I changed into a dress at this point b/c we were supposed to make a good impression upon arrival. Andrea, our Country Director (CD) met us at Customs and we got through very quickly. All the bags arrived without incident too (picture)! The bags were loaded onto an armored truck and we got into 2 buses/vans. When we arrived at Msimbazi Centre, we were given sna
As I serve in the Peace Corps, this will be my main means of communication with most people. I will update as often as possible but there may be long times between posts and then several posted at once. This likely means that I just found internet service. There will be typos as I will not waste preciouse internet time to correct them all. Like my other blog, I will date the entries when they occurred but the time-stamp will be 23:59, indicating that it was added after the date.

Yay Africa! I went back to a couple entries I read before when I saw you added pictures. On that note, Ashley and I would love a picture of you under your mosquito net. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll try to get one Court :-). Even though there aren't mosquitoes at my site (yay!), I rigged the net up to keep other insects and arachnids out of my bed. Except, kitty likes to try to climb it...
